$720 for Xperia ZL is insane! It does not worth that much.
Nexus 4 has the similar CPU+ RAM but only sells for $350.
I guess the more reasonable price for Xperia ZL may be $450.
The additional $100 is to offset the additional cost for higher resolution display, 13MP camera, & micro SD Card Slot.
Is this fair enough?

The ZL Costs 558$ in UAE and the same in Saudi Arabia,This is the 3G version but the LTE is not available yet .

monsterduc1000, 25 Mar 2013WOW! $720 to $760 and you can get a Nexus 4 for $350...Please stop doing this. The Sony is a generation ahead of the Nexus. Take the screen for example. 720 vs 1080. So yes the Nexus is cheaper (I know, I have one myself) so early adopters are expected to pay inflated prices.
But to be honest, the price of this handset is WAY too high. Other competitors can be had for less. HTC's One is a better phone in every way and still is cheaper.
