And even they are mediocre as you said they have enough power to run most apps and games with ease.
In case of Doogee and Oukitel they have an Infrared Camera which other flagships dont have, offer much faster charging and many other interesting specs for 1/3 up tp 1/5 price of a so called real flagship.
Sometimes even a mediocre phone could outrun a flagship.
In this case any of them will outrun any other phone with price of 1000+ in terms of endurance.

They have endurance because of that, nothing special. I read reviews, these are mediocre phones.

Quallcomm modems are so problematic.
I dont trust.
I used Atheros Qualcomm and it failed after 2 years. and disconnects so often

Regarding the upcoming snapdragon x72 and x75 modems will surely benefit communication technology. With their high bandwidth and low latency remote operating becomes more likely and will bring it sooner. Regarding the x72 modem will definitely be a hot item on flagship phones since the already released x70 modem is insanely fast and awesome. Regarding the Google pixel 7 and pixel 7 pro both using the much slower and inferior g5309 modem really

Everything improving like CPU, GPU etc. But endurance is worse and worse.

Even Samsung S5 which is a 2014 phone with... moreSo youve chosen 720p screens vs QHD (1440p) screens current day (4 times the resolution btw), best case 1080p screen on the s5, i dont know about the xiaomi 13 series but the other flagship current phones have QHD screens so we'll see how 1080p screens perform (again current screens have 2-4 times the brightness, double the refresh rate and HDR capabilities).
You've also chosen 3 phones that ARENT FLAGSHIPS, no flagship SoC except the s5 (you bashed flagships with flagship SoC) ill go and choose some xiaomi and sony mid rangers that get 140-170 hours endurance with 5000-6000mah vs you're 15000/20000mah battery phones. Also the s5 gsts 9-10 hours video and web browsing, flagships get double that with 2-4 cell set ups (my phone has 2 2380mah batteries i think).
The z5 and z5 premium got 44 and 63 hours endurance like LG phones (i had the g3 and g4 and g5 so i should know) including basically all other phones of the year so my statement still stands and is CORRECT.
So yeah, the phone choices and SoC usages and screen quality arent all flagship or the same quality screens, you gave 5 phones vs what, 100 that prove my point and the z5 mini vs z5 and z5 premium also prove my point, the s5 only getting 10 hours playback and web viewing proves it too on a much much lower clocked, half the core SoCs. Do some actual research matey.

Even Samsung S5 which is a 2014 phone with 2800 mAh cell got 83 hours endurance rating.
And S5 mini with 2100 mAh got 72 hours.
Z5 mini by Sony got 82 hours with tiny 2200 mAh cell.
P1 or P2 by Lenovo phones from 2014 and 2015 got over 150 hours.
If we exclude phones like Doogee V max, Unihertz Tank, Energizer P16k or Oukitel WP 15 and WP21 the P series by Lenovo are the nedurance kings here.
Many new phones with many new batteries are not even close. Even Iphone 14 pro max have much worse endrance rating.

AnonD-731363, 16 Feb 2023Every year new powersaving CPUs and every year endurance on... moreWhat? Phones from 2015 with flagship chips had an average of 50 hours, 3 years ago it was around 70 hours with best phones getting about 90-100 (about 10-15 hours of web and video playback).
2023 youre getting flagship chips (8g2/D9200)with almost xbox series S levels of gpu performance, and ray tracing, same speed/faster ram speeds vs computers and laptops (8400mhz vs 4000-8500mhz), basically laptop level cpu performance too while getting 110+ hours standby, 20+ hours of video and web (worst case its like 15+ with like 4000mah batteries). Thats not including LTPO3 and up screens able to run at 1hz if needed while being QHD and 10 bit, PLUS double the brightness level of 2020 devices (12 bit on some xiaomi devices at FHD, iphones, vivo, Samsung, xiaomi some others too get manual 1000-1200 nits with HDR/certain situations getting 1700-2000 nits of brightness).
To me that doesnt look like its going backwards, literally double the performance of phones from 3 years ago and getting hours and hours of extra battery (2023 SoC phones worst case battery endurance is looking like 2020 phones best case scenarios).

No surprises here...of course they're going to release new modems each year. Modems are the one area that Qualcomm really shines. Even when they have a bad year for the CPU, their modems are always the best

- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 might go next year
- Snapdragon 7 Gen 2/3 might be during that time
- Snapdragon 6 Gen 2 might have a chance to appear.

Every year new powersaving CPUs and every year endurance on phones is getting worse and worse.
This way soon eve something like Iphone XX Ultra Pro Max or Samsung SXX Ultra will have endurance rating below 50 hours.
Only some Doogee and Oukitel phones will get a lot more or another Unihertz Tank with 20+k mAh cell.
