I'm liking the chipset, screen size and battery capacity. I just hope that the design and build quality will be excellent. I'm looking for a phone to replace my Galaxy Nexus and anything close to stock Android will be nice (I know I can root my phone and flash a custom ROM but I don't want to do it anymore especially if I choose to do any banking on future devices). I hope they will be able to make the device a good size because I don't feel like I need a 5" screen at the moment. Also, 1280 by 768 is good enough for me especially since it won't be sucking up as much juice as a 1080p screen (even if they may look nicer). I feel like Motorola is slowly dying so maybe this will help revive them if they bring something good to the table.

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2013This is now the best yet that's going to be out soon. Great... moreGoogle own moto to have some patens to compete with in the cellhpone world, against companies such as Nokia/MS and apple.

Moto is driven independently, as always. And of course they must be allowed to make high end phones like they always have.

And I personally will allow them so sell their wonderful phones worldwide with availability worldwide at launch - always! So please do so moto.

This is now the best yet that's going to be out soon. Great phone with full os support, what more could you possibly ask for. Downside of this is google now has moto, if they go compete with their costumers maybe they will drive away those big andriod phones. This could be the reason why samsung is reviving the bada (trizen), sony oppo and Huawei reaching out for Firefox. Google android is well established os, but competing with their own costumer might bring harm to them in the feature. Wp should step up, stop making os format that doesn't do a ladderized update or i mean an os that keeps repeating to start from the beginning.

I was waiting for a good battery phone and finally it's coming. People its a a 4.7 inch u think ul notice a 1080p on such a small screen? Use your common sense.a 720p screen still makes the overall effect great

            Alexei, 26 Mar 2013W00t? No 1080p screen? It's a flop! That's how I guess s... moreHere's to hoping it's a non-pentile :)

1080p on phones 5" and smaller is pointless. It will only drain battery + demand more from CPU/GPU with nothing to show for it. The PPI is too high to tell difference when over 300 dpi at veiwing distance for phone and tablet. Unless it's a bad pentile with too high spacing between sub pixels. Which doesn't really make it a +300dpi anyways.

5" 1080p (2MP picture) display equals 2160p (8.1MP picture) if the PPI were kept on a 10" display.

This 1280*768 will equate to 317ppi, which is far better than that of the retina ipad (3MP picture) - which is pretty good already. It would be 2723*1634 (4.35MP) if DPI kept over 10" - higher than Nexus 10.

I guess someone will even produce a 4K 5" device in not too long - claiming it has any purpose other than showing a higher number.

                W00t? No 1080p screen? It's a flop!

That's how I guess some media and fanboys will react. The power inside that handles 1080p with ease with WXGA resolution = sweet. +the manufucturer is Motorola = diabetes:P

                  Well Hello Moto! :')

At first I thought the screen resolution could be better... then it got me thinking how many misclicks I have while browsing on a 4.3" 720p screen, I think the screen resolution might not be such a huge issue. In addition it will do wonders to battery life, if the battery really is 4000 mAh as speculated. Then with a Snapdragon 800 this thing will FLY!

Only clear minus is no sd card slot, but that was expected from Moto.

Can't wait to have this baby announced!

As a long time Moto user, I really wish Moto rise and claim the place it rightly deserve. I like Samsung too but really don't like it to be the company on the top.
Have a good luck Moto. Hope you come back to India. It was saddening to see people in store lolling at the mention of your name. Poor guys.

imo, the design so far is the best for Nexus phone

The phone looks too wide . I want a curve design like the nexus that is good in the hand. I have the RAZR HD and the corners would feel better if it was round

To me, I do not look at the brand, I look at the features. These devices drive me crazy!!! First, I was hooked up with the Butterfly then I saw the Xperia Z and I felt like I will be getting it instead of the Butterfly then here comes the phones with better chipsets like the HTC One then the Optimus G Pro then here comes the Galaxy S4 but it disappointed me with its design so I told myself I will not replace my HTC One X plus yet until I see what Google-Motorola offers. Hope that this X phone gets to have a minimum of 64GB variant and as much as possible I wish for it to have a 128GB of on board storage. I like a Google made device with a higher price as it will come with a more premium features in it that can make it the best device out in the market. I like the fact that it is possible for Google and Moto to put a Snapdragon 800 on it! 600 is already a threat to the Octa core of the S4 and how much more is the 800?! I like this news! Good luck and God bless you Google-Moto! I will wait for the X phone to be released! ^^
