Releasing stable update so late.. (Even it has not started rolling out to public, only beta members)
While Samsung has pushed stable Android 13 OneUI 5 update to mid-range and budget smartphones ( even 2-3 years old flagships ).
There's nothing special in this phone.. nor in this company.. Nothing phone = Nothing Special
Samsung is far better than this gimmicky Chin-esse spin-off company..

This phone keeps getting better and better with updates. It's like big manufacturers add bugs with updates while Nothing fixes them.

A forward-thinking technology company should at least able to provide timely software updates to their ONE AND ONLY smartphone, don't you think? Please spare us the "Nothing is still new" and "Nothing has few employees" excuses because they are neither that new nor lacking manpower if you look at their LinkedIn page.

The discussion on this is silly. I'm sorry, but you don't get to claim their updates are slow when they have 100 software engineers and Samsung and Apple have tens of thousands. Not to mention they're making meaningful improvements to the phone experience rather than obsessing over adding features, and the features they do add are genuinely useful instead of just something to say you added it. I don't personally own a nothing phone, but I am a huge advocate for the way they go about software updates.

Comments expecting too much from a company that's never promised anything but a smartphone. Just because he used to be CEO of OnePlus doesn't mean he's gonna be GOAT by opening a new company. Y'all need to set your expectations straight.

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2023Better than realme Samsung is a big company, Nothing is not even 1/4 of what Samsung is. Nothing so far only has 1 phone to support, once they release multiple devices like chinese oem's, it may find it difficult to push out updates, since they are just a startup company.

The like of Samsung and other have a deeper pocket for R&D so they can push out new software, updates, device's, bug fixes quicker and easy compared to nothing. So while Nothing may only just pushed a stable A13 out now in February 2023 they don't have the resources to be like the bigger or major brands out there.
