            Btw the Redmi 12C is just the iTel A58/A58 Pro, with slightly different specs.

I'd have thought that about the M series and the F series, but the A series? Atleast the 5x and 7x must've been made by them right?

                  While I've never seen anyone use the A1, your logic is sound.

                  But atleast they're continuing to target these aggressive prices. As much as it sucks, it's definitely a reality that a huge percentage of people in our country need those aggressive prices.

Was there ... moreWell, a lot of people buy it, I have already seen many people with the Redmi A1, the regular, not even the Plus variant. It's new, cheap and being sold by a large enough brand, that people will trust, no matter what they tryna sell, like Samsung and Xiaomi. Samsung doesn't make most of their A series either, but obviusly Samsung wouldn't tell this to their customers, which means that their customers just assume, that, everybody saying that it wasn't made by Samsung is most likely lying.

I loved the old one, Galaxy J5.. man it was the 2nd cheapest phone in my country in 2017, yet it was so good, had an oled display, great rear and front camera..Galaxy S8.. loved that thing before the One UI update.

                            It's good to have a device for each market segment, but this device is just destined for the landfills. Hard to take these companies seriously about their "environmental efforts" when they insist on making such products, but atleast Xiaomi doesn't keep flaunting "environment" everywhere like Samsung

                              -micro usb with 10W ultra slow charging

                              -horrible build quality

                              -huge display, but only 720p 60hz

An old Galaxy S9 probably costs less now, than this will and is so-so much better. Yes, that's also just 60hz but at least it's 1440p and oled, it has USB-C(3.1 at that!), 15W charging, wireless charging and much better software.

                                  And that's coming from me, me the person that hates Samsung. There are just types of phones that nobody needs, this, the Redmi A1(+) and the upcoming A2 are part of that group.
