You have to remember that Samsung had always been making phone since the early 90s and don’t forget they also made parts for other brands too. Just because iPhone was a game changer does not mean anything. It usually take Apple forever to introduce new features that other manufacturers had already offered. All Apple did was put their brand on it. I’m not an Apple hater. In fact I am using iPhone pro Max 13 ATM…. And yeah it’s just another phone. I missed my Samsung galaxy too… PEACE!

I really like the idea of having a big screen (like s23+) only when you need to use it in hand. then, flip it and carry a tiny device all day. I can live with an inferior camera, inferior processing power and average battery life for that convenience. but, I cannot accept high repair costs with no reason after warranty expires since, I use my phones gently for 4-5 years.
rest of the things I listed were design updates that, has already been applied by today tech. I tested flip4 on my hand and it's hinge is really stiff to open with one hand. that thumb movement requires lots of fingernail pressure on the soft inner screen.

I was so close to buying flip4 but,gave up due to back screen problems on the users and average battery life. so,I got an s23 instead.
I don't care about the crease.just make it durable without a black screen problem and get rid of the folding gap.other things are:
- change cover display orientation not to crop camera viewfinder
- add digital lossless 2x zoom
- improve battery life by 20%
- increase the phone width from 72mm to 76mm
- make it easier to unfold with one hand
- do not let the screen scratched by nails(nails press the screen everytime you unfold with one hand)
flip 5 will be much more serious device this way

now, competition is brewing...
this is what i am referring to, than sammy fans should be happy when there is a "threat" to their beloved brand - they will push a little further...
without competition, they will just be idle...
but as for those with green lines on s20+ and the rest of 2020 oleds... goodluck, hope that sammy will treat you better on aftersales next time...

Not a bad move. Oppo's feature set and optimization for the 2nd screen is a joke.
Samsung needs to improve their cameras, slightly. It should add a 2x zoom and an ultra wide, both with 50MP cameras. That way they could push regular wide and 4x zoom too, from the two back cameras. It also needs the new 12MP sensor in the S23 Series for the selfie.

I’m all for it but I’m probably only getting the Flip 5 for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and larger storage capacity. My Flip 3 has 888 and 128 GB.
I already have a Razr 5G that provides me with a big enough cover display. No need for SamSprung or CoverScreen OS to make it more useful. Hoping Samsung makes that cover display more useful and not just lame widgets that Oppo did on the N2 Flip.
