      Such a disappointing phone. Absolutely nothing ThinkPad about it other than a logo.

            Savvy , 22 Feb 2023Is it a joke or what? No telephoto lens in $999??? Its lit... moreFor some reason, the heydey for telephoto cameras is gone now.

            Huawei and vivo have both settled for 3.5x even as they were pushing 5x and Huawei pioneered 10x. Samsung even gave their A72 a 3x telephoto. But it clearly didn't amount to much, as the A52 (And its "s" variant) was the one that sold the best.

            Clearly, not everyone wants a good telephoto camera, even if you and I are in this camp. So, it's a compromise many companies are brave enough to take.

              Who's this review for? No one, and I mean no one is buying this ridiculous, overpriced trash

                Better get Samsung than this, it's too much for what this phone offers which is nothing special.

                  How about a 4.5" screen smartphone version. This will be palm friendly. Senior citizens will find it easier to hold and use. Secondly a mirror image 2nd unit feature phone sans camera can be a very useful accessory for large size smartphones.

                                Anonymous, 22 Feb 2023Edge 40 Pro don't seem to have 8K recording for camera... moreIt does have 8k 30fps (at least the Chinese model which is the same phone does). The ultrawide is a 50mp sensor on the edge 40 pro with autofocus. Also has a 2x telephoto imx663 sensor with f1.6 aperture for portraits (this sensor is used on many Vivo x series flagships). Has a 60mp selfie camera with 4k60 video support. The main and rear camera also have 4k60 stabilised video. Definitely, they have improved the main camera photo performance too with the new ISP and new algorithm. The main camera also supports motion tracking focus this time too. Definitely the cameras are significantly better. The 8 gen2 is also a more power efficient chip

                                    I don't get it. What is unique about this phone except for the ThinkPad-like branding?

                                        Because (on average), you never mention if the phone on review has/has not wireless charging.
