I would really like to know what markets are showing such strength for WP - 10% is nothing to be sneezed at! It's funny that WP is succeeding now for the same reasons that iPhone succeeded in 2007: it might not do everything that everybody else can do, but what it does, it does with grace and fluidity that users really appreciate.

I for one consider current flagship devices from just about everybody to be massive wastes of space, literally just too big to bother with as phones. I really respect Apple's insistence on keeping their phone small, but since I like WP and I want something that's comfortable in the pocket the best choice for my next device is the Lumia 620.

I was seeing all this hate on WP and let me tell you a few things.

-WP is not bad, what I like the most is the way you experience with 95% smoothness in almost every WP device, If i have to compare the smoothness between android and WP it's obviously that WP is the winner because let's be real, if you want the best experience in android you would have to buy a flagship but there are people who cannot afford a flagship and want the same experience where low and mid range androids can't offer yet, its a laggy os and android has a long way to make itself the most mature os. In the wp's side, from 256mb ram devices to 1gb ram devices enjoys so many useful features without ever experience lags and other things, about the apps? Seriously, in WP there are almost 65% of the popular apps so you Don't have to complain (except if you are a crazy instagrammer) and the games its the same and now it's growing thanks to wp8, what i like the most about wp8 is that there are restricted requirements to make a WP device, wp8 has to use dual core and snapdragon s4 so i don't worry if a game will or won't work on a wp8 so it's all depending of which what version of WP you are using and which amount of ram you have so STOP COMPLAINING BECAUSE YOU CAN'T STAND THE FACT THAT WP ITS A BEAUTIFUL OS. seriously you have to be a hater to death person to hate an os that's growing and you can't stand it point.

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2013@ The Agent Fair enough! Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (£... moreThe review states £150 and the Mini has a slightly bigger battery, and a whole 512mb of more RAM. Still, yes. The 620 is discounted but you said "phones" trying to imply all Windows Phones are discounted, but that's true only for the 620, apparently only in the UK, as it is "the most affordable Windows Phone."
Besides, it's not like they are doing what Google is doing with Nexus 4 in the UK, practically giving away flagship hardware (better than the 920) for the price of an entry level to mid range phone. Nokia needed a cheap option and they decided to make their entry level cheap in one market.

Fair enough! Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (£235), Sony Xperia SL (£239), Nokia Lumia 620 (£130).
Is that a fairer comparison? The Lumia 620 is being heavily discounted in the UK to make it sell.

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2013let's see when the s4 will be out in the market :0There won't be happening more than usual, the brainwashed mass will all go for the same, thingking it's the best... poor people. I feel so pity for all.

Nothing says "entry level" more than 512mb ram and dial-core 1 ghz cpu nowadays. Couple that with 3.8" 480x800 screen and you got precisely that: entry-level, hardware-wise.

Now about the performance: read the comment I replied to. He is comparing a cheap Windows Phone that is cheap because of its hardware with flagship hardware. That the entry level phone runs so smoothly is a point in MS and Nokia's favor, the ones he was trying to bash.

And at first I also thought that a mid range lumia can't be compares with android high end or iphone but after usingd 620 I realize that in wp8 devices difference is jst for hardware and OS performance is quit good along all series. Like in 920 u have gorilla glass and pure view cam but in 620 there nothing like this but overall Phone performance is at par with 920.

Nokia lumia series is pretty good and affordable. I jst bought lumia 620 a mid range and its quit good phone. Performance is at par woth iPhone but sadly there's not much apps for wp8. Microsoft should attract developers toward wp platform.
