23 February 2023
This is a rather early leak, but the Xperia 5 V seems to be matching today's SD8 Gen 2 phones.

If Sony spent as much time and money on their camera software and power efficiency as they did paying people to post on here, they'd be rockin'!

I have a Sony Xperia 5 II for the past 2 years and I'll tell you this. Worst phone I have ever had!! The signal is very poor either you are in the big city or urban or abroad for that matter. WiFi signal worst reception ever and it doesn't matter if you are home or at work. I can't wait to change ot. I have been an Android user for 11 years and I'm thinking to experiment with Apple for a bit to see how it goes

sony has always been one of my favorites as an old sony user.my user experience was they experiment new tech in their phones but, they always compromise something not to lead in picture quality. you feel like sony wants apple, samsung, xiaomi, oppo to lead in camera department.because sony is a sony group company and sony sensor is a bigger business for them.

blue, 24 Feb 2023That's total nonsense. Sensor size has nothing to do w... moreAnd higher megapixel count doesn't mean the phone can stack up multiple images at once. As a matter of fact, a 1Mp image can be stacked more times per second than a 100Mp image. That's because the processor of the phone has to work less. Higher megapixels means more pixels to work with which means the processor needs to do more work which obviously takes longer. Megapixels doesn't affect HDR performance by this much

Reds, 24 Feb 2023I mean professional cameras rely mostly on their big sensor... moreThat's total nonsense. Sensor size has nothing to do with HDR. Resolution can have, and in that case phones with more MPix are in advantage, because they can stack multiple photos at the time from the sensor.
Sensor size influences noise and depth of focus, but certainly not data size. You should learn more about camera hardware.

OnePlus does 4K 120 but that's not really 120 fps cause you get frame drops to 90fps in the same file. Sony gives you real 4k 120 fps. Even the iphone can't beat that.
