    The original Defy was a little beast, the plastic laminated screen was indestructible, why manufacturers don't use screens like that now and just put a glass screen protector over it for that glass feel is beyond me.

              Defy1 was my first android. and what a build it was. Its still lying in my drawer and it simply can not be destroyed till today. mechanicals are all perfect , it still boots up (With tremendous lag though. and yes can not be used due to android version don't allow anything

                                        Same tricks as CAT S75 still useless costly gimmick called IPXX rating. Since no phone is waterproof only water resistant they are nothing but garbage costly gimmick feature.
                                        Any waterproof case bought on alliexpress does a lot better job than this.
                                        And even a low cost phone just like Infinix smart 7 for 80 euros can withstand few rain drops.
                                        As long as companies does not plan include water damage into regular warranty this IPXX gimmick is not worth to have because phone is not water proof just water resistant.
