I would have liked if it had stereo sound and a smaller format, but since it keeps those dimensions I guess I won't buy it this time either. Meanwhile, Sony releases more compact phones but only in Japan. Sadly, this has made me leave them completely. They lost me as a customer.

Still in my S9, I had 3 Sony before (L, M4 Acqua the best, XA disappointing). If they add stereo speaker and 90Hz at the previous model with a price of 500€ max I'm in !

A brand new 10 IV is currently $300 in my country.
Hoping the V will be priced similarly after several months and the battery endurance will surpass its predecessor.

I wish Sony would use a screen ratio similar to iPhone's or at least like Galaxy S smartphones. I think it's too thin and tall and makes scrollable content look small.

gingi, 26 Feb 2023If that's the case, we can expect a higher price.People, including this website from the 10 IV review, want Sony to upgrade the Xperia 10 series' screen type to include HRR. If the rumors are true and the Xperia 10 V uses the same type of display as the Xperia 5 series (a 6.1" FHD+ HDR OLED 120Hz HRR at 449 PPI), the 10 V's MSRP will be higher than the 10 IV's, which is to be expected, but it's worth it. Especially with the rumored return of features to 10 V with its SD 6G1 (4K recording, USB 3.1, and so on) following the unfortunate downgrade in 10 IV due to SD 695 usage in 10 IV from an already balanced SD 690 chipset in 10 III.

I'll buy this Sony in a heartbeat if only they ditched their 21:9 aspect ratio and went for something like 19,5:9 at least... Or better yet 18:9

Sony does everything right and the undeserved hero we all need in these days. MicroSD slot, headphone jack, no crappy notch which ruin the display and viewing experience, also best android camera just after Pixel and Samsung.

The design is one of the very few things Sony does right about their phones. The fact that Xperia 5 II had this notchless design with notification LED was one of the main reasons I bought one. I am probably never buying a Sony phone again because of the awful software and garbage camera, BUT if Samsung made a phone with this exact design, I would buy one in a heartbeat.
