On MIUI I've come to mostly appreciate their battery saving options, but it's easy enough to turn them off for apps I do want to stay running in the background.

I really wonder if at least Oppo is any better in that regard, but so far experience with Samsung's OneUI is excellent. It just works so well and best of all, apps just work. I don't have to obsessively try to prevent it from killing my communication apps.

          Anonymous, 25 Feb 2023Logically true. But Samsung is miles better. If people want... moreNo, really. I used to be a Samsung fan until I got crazy experiences with 3 Samsung phones. So called Chinese phones are way better, especially from Vivo, Oppo, and Xiaomi and their sub brands like IQOO, realme, Mi and OnePlus.

            Digging their feet in and releasing a follow up to the model that sold worse than the mini, eh? Bold move! By this logic, I look forward to the 15 or 16 mini!

                  Still no triple camera setup on the base models? Pretty lame. I respect a lot of what Apple produces but these snail-paced iterative updates are extremely deflating.

                      Anonymous, 25 Feb 2023No new Mini 😔Apple was better back in:
                      2014 = S, M, L (5S, 6, 6+)
                      2015 = S, M, L (SE, 6S, 6S+)
                      2021 = S, M, L (12 Mini, Pro, Max)
                      2022 = S, M, L (13 Mini, Pro, Max)

                      ...just like Sony, which used to do the Compact, Xperia, Premium in a series.
                      Samsung did it once with the S10e, S10, S10+.
                      Right now it's ASUS is doing S + L with the ZenFone and RoG Phone.

                        Strange, on the side view they look concerning slim. I hope they don't fall back into their "thinnest of the world" frenzy, that eventually had to be paid with diminished battery life and ruggedness. I can tell i learned to know a LOT of Mac laptop users over the years and literally none of them EVER reported how excited they had been over how thin their Air was. It was always the weight, never the dimensions. But i know some, who shied away from purchasing a MacBook 13", because it looked so incredble fragile.
                        And battery live trumps thinness anyways.

It's not fine and people need to educate themselves and get what they deserved for the price they're paying for, funny enough you can even get a high grade 144hz display for 350$ and under for an Android device which has better viewing experience, I'd honestly go back to Apple if only, they would for one actually make the SE a functional device instead of being a 500$ door stopper for my closet, and they if they can do it for goodness sake please stop with the reusing the old iPhone designs for the SE, it's not nostalgic it's pitiful, they lost braincells and stop being creative

                                It has 60Hz instead of 120. So? Part of the population doesn’t even notice the difference, another part doesn’t care. For those that do, the 14 Pro is there and the 13 Pro at like $600 used exists too. But it’s not an existential feature for a lot of people. And otherwise, the 14 is perfectly capable and the 15 will have 2x optical Zoom so what is even the downside compared to other phones at that price.

                                        Anonymous, 25 Feb 2023Isn't this the case with every manufacturer out there?... moreAgreed On the first part, but all other manufacturers are in an entirely different price bracket. What Apple thinks is entry level is actually the entire market price bracket for all other manufacturers. Nobody else is as egregious as Apple in their artificial limitations. If a Xiaomi device priced at 35k INR is using a Snapdragon 870, that's easily explainable than Apple thinking their iPhone 14 at 70K INR needs to have so many limitations

                                        But you have to be kidding in that last part. Any midrange Android device is perfect to easily be a daily driver. That part of your statement is just factually wrong. Mid rangers have more features than your favourite flagships bruh (fast charging, 3.5mm audio jack, charger in box, case in box etc)

                                        Most devices sold are mid rangers. Flagship phones are always sold less in quantity.

                                        And finally, is there any reason for Apple to charge so much for their devices? Not at all. It's their hole that they dug by imagining a 500EUR device as an "entry level" device. Is there any reason for them to do it? Yup - Profits. Is there any reason for consumers to accept it? Not at all. Don't take the side of the corporation my guy
