Me being a flexible display fan, I think Motorola could be going somewhere with this. Think about it, creating rollable smartphones could change the smartphone world. And if this device does hit off, (If it's hopefully released) then it could maybe encourage Apple to do something different for a change, and that, I'm happy to wait for.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2023Xiaomi Xiaomi never did it for real, only LG did. They showcased the fully working Rollable concept during CES 2021. There's even a full-on review of it by a Korean tech YouTuber.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2023Which brand the first to copy this? Longterm copycat winner is?We all know who the copy paste "brands" are, but this time, i kind of doubt. You cannot pocket this thing without damaging the screen surface, and it will take like a minute to do it.

I had a Moto RIZR back in the day. The sliding mechanism felt great, and so satisfying to push up and down.
It had a couple of problems, the interface was laggy and the d-pad buttons were glued on and would fall off after a while. Otherwise it was a cool phone
