the south african market seems to be mixed as majority of bb users seem to be jumping ship to ios and android with the news that bis will be discontinued

3 weeks and 4 days in Canada
Few days in India
Phones don't usually start selling more after they've been out for a month (even a few weeks) so it's safe to say that numbers will drop quite a lot in the markets already released in.
The remaining markets left beside the USA are almost all not going to be interested in this phone at it's price.
BB10 has no play in emerging markets.

After using the z10 im sorry to say its just not good enough.Same boring overcomplicated feel and priced wrong.This cannot compete with iphone and s3 etc.I work in retail and have only sold 1 handset so far as no one is interested in bb no more after being birnt from reliability issues and boring operating software.Im afriad this year could be bbs last

That's an insane numer anyway, considering a mid end specs. phone with experimental UI/OS priced like much more advanced competition's phones.

I actually like the new Z10 and have been using it for over a week (work related). I just think they released it too late in a world where android and iphone are the leading competition. They better invest in their marketing department if they expect the new Blackberry 10 to take off.

It's not strange that the Z10 didn't sell many millions yet. Unlike Apple's iPhone or Samsung's Galaxy S flagships, other companies don't sell a few million the first day and then slow down somewhat. Next to that, the phone has been available for just 1 month in one country, and only for a few weeks in a few other countries, in the financial quarter talked about. As the Z10 slowly becomes available on a bigger scale and the Q10 is coming soon too, the current quarter will be the first to show some line in Blackberry sales, but only FQ2 in this year (june through august) can tell the real tale of Blackberries success or failure.

ONLY?!?! Are you kidding. Did you account that from those three months, BB Z10 was on sale only for 4 weeks in UK and 3 weeks in Canada. What BB achieved is quite amazing, even though most people expected a failure.
