I liked the brilliant colours from the phones back in the day.

A good way to get people and media talking about a product that is 6 months old. They've been doing this for a few years now and the numbers show that iPhone sales spike back up mid-life cycle when a new color is introduced.

I always use clear cases on my phones (if the model has glass back that is). Clear cases are the cheapest and most common.
