1. Samsung doesnt have to give new features "officially" every month, because most of new "official" features were actually available before on the Samsung official good lock app/modul.
Most of features like AoD customization, lockscreen customization, media volume controller, status bar editing, pro camera, home screen editing, material you icon editing, customization file sharing, screenshot controller, keyboard features controller, phone setting interface editing and all other "official" new samsung features could be installed by any samsung user, few months if not years before Samsung officially launches it through One UI updates.
Even if there are any samsung user who didnt care about new features in Samsung good lock app, in the end would still get those new features from the official updates.
2. Samsung has long track record of giving more features on its phone before implemented by Pixel few months or few years later.
Long before any Pixel has magic eraser features, material you theme, clipboard features, modes&routines, live text features, back tap features, universal health app, and other features i could not mention all one by one, were actually implemented first on Samsung phone, with some of them using different name.

Hopefully Pixel 6a will receive the faster night sight update too,I see no reason why not.It has the same chip as the 6 and 6 pro.

An extra couple of days to wait for the update is acceptable.
