Also the wasting screen real estate trend started from Android10, anything beyond Android9 is utterly trash.

All the latest Developer Previews, and yet Google still can't give wired video output to any of their Pixel phones. No wonder why Desktop Mode still can't catch on to the general public when Google themselves don't even enable wired video output in the first place. If Google don't do that, the public can endlessly test out the Desktop Mode feature for further improvements.

I absolutely loved the initial Material design.
But of cause quite a challenge to imrpove from there.
The biggest annoyence of Material You is all that waste of screen "real estate".
All those huge paddings around the UI elements.
It simply looks dump and primitive, i am sorry to say.
It's not the logic, it's the aesthetics.
At least now they have room for improvements again.
Maybe this is what the actual value of the Material You design concept will have been:
creating whiggle room for fundamental changes.

Well.. typical android fanboys nowadays.
Spend half a year laughing at Apple's WWDC, while the other half.. swallowing what Goole I/O bring the exact feature to new Android.

While Material You is easier on the eyes than previous Android versions (still love the revolutionary OG Material), Android 12 brought way too many restrictions with it. Till now many apps cannot completely perform their functions because they have to work around so many restrictions. Don't get me started on root apps.
Looks like Android is going down that path :(
