Apple overhauls App Store pricing system

Many apps will now cost $1, instead of $0.99.

Sort by:

1 cent is meaningless, but with the sheer volume of people using Apple products and paying for apps this will actually be significant for Apple and for the developers. I also like that they are adding more options, making for smaller intervals, and helping developers price the way they want.

            If you get people to pay 0.3$, you've got them hooked into the system - once they add the credit card, people buy more virtual stuff.

              So is this a good thing? More intervals definitely does seem to be a a good thing so there can be more granularity to the pricing.

                Hope this globalization pricing will help other country that absolutely can’t afford $100 IAP because their monthly income averaging around $200-300. While you can make more than $100 a day alone in US
