Here in Slovakia my company sells like 100 phones a day and 99,99% of the phone damaged by water are judged by technician as acustomers faul so he have to pay.
Even a brand new phone which got water damaged cost 200% to repair from its original costs.
Just monday this week customer brought redmi 9A bought for 99eur and was water damaged. Repair cost were 192 euros.

T-mobile covered my S-21 when i got trapped in a rain storm on July 4th, and after it was inspection they said that it was Samsungs fault, and they replaced it the very next day. I had only had it for 2 months, right after it's release, and that it shouldn't have got that soaked internally, and that Samsung was lying the entire time with their ratings.

But as long as IP rating makes phones just water resistant and not water proof like submarines is nothing but garbage and gimmick.

How you gona prove at courts your device wasnt 30 minutes under water???
You cant. Even if few rain drops accidentaly kills it once a techznician encounters water damage on your device your warranty claims are good for nothing you have to pay expensive repair.
Those said tests arent worth anything because device is standing still in pure clean water in some water tank and does not moving at all.
          Conditions which makes no sense.
Try sea water for example or sour rain or swim with your phone. . Your IP rating will prove its just a costly gimmick.
First time the phones becomes trully waterproof and not only water resistant it will be worthy feature. Since no phone is like submarine its nothing but a costly gmmick as it always was.

Just garbage? Have you even SEEN the testing at all? IF not and I highly doubt you have - spend about 30mins and look into it, thoroughly!

Its a gaurantee that such a device will live up to that rating - if not ... lawsuits (valid ones) can be made. With an IP rating a manufacturer can stand solidly behind their claim of water resistance under standards tested - and NOT with teh fine print co-out regarding warranty being voided.

Like the food you purchase, a product CAN have even misleading statements in commercial ads or packaging that the fine print in the owners' manual can negate and clarify preventing any civil suite claim.

If it folds then it cant have IP68.
It definitely could be water resistant or splash resistant but will not be waterproof.
Such phone does not exist at the moment.
And maybe Meizu 20 Pro by Geely will be first one ever made.

AnonD-731363, 10 Mar 2023Looks promising. Indeed it does look promising.
More importantly since the RAZR2022 had THE most apps that could run on the external screen despite the false shagrin and hype of the Oppo Find N2 Flip just released 'globally' (lol but misses N. America).

I believe the entire outer lid of this flip will be a borded external screen.
At this point the best capacity response, a FULL IP68 rating and a real and proper Global Release and warranty support will really allow this to shine.
Along with matching Oppo Find N2 Flip's number of folds under warranty, under heat and cold thresholds as well.

                    Lenovo aka Motorol BRING IT!!!

it looks like they dont have the cover screen. i hope it is hidden underneath it.

It is mistake to make rear display use half of the phone.

When I saw the renders, I thought it looked cool. Seeing the real photo of it, it's not that fresh. I don't like that shade of red. It needs to be a richer, darker red like the iPhone SE3.

Razr 2023 doesn't look that much different from last year's. It's still looks too wide for my liking. And wouldn't the cameras be annoying being part of the cover display? That's worse than a single punch hole.

Vivo X Flip looks to be the more interesting design as of now until we see the Z Flip 5.

                            Shared live photo.

Great design... I miss the aerodynamics of the first Razr foldable though.

Is this another Motorola phone with pantone color?

Anyway this model looks too similar to Z Flip 4. I like Razr 2022 more, at least that have curved top and bottom part of the screen instead of straight blocky design that Flip 4 have.

Yeah they need to do something to make it stand out. The last RAZR phone was pretty good, but the design was the same as the Z Flip. The RAZR series was always about style, so they need to do something about that.
