Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 tipped to use the same primary camera as its predecessor

Samsung's foldables outsells both of those manufacturers in China so they don't even have home field advantage. Also, when Samsung talks about foldables, they never just talk about themselves. They talk about the growth of the foldable market in general. Why? Because Samsung doesn't only make foldables, they also supply parts. They won't mind loosing a little market share because it is still money in their pocket.

So, global availability or not, Samsung will continue to be the leader because their brand carries more weight. The clamshell foldable is the most popular of all foldable form factors and the Moto Razr has been available globally. How is that working out for them? The only company that will outsell Samsung is Apple.

    Fold 5 is basically going to look like the Fold 4 just like the S23 Ultra looks nearly identical to the S22 Ultra. But the S23U benefitted far more with the Snap 8 Gen 2 since S22U was stuck with Snap 8 Gen 1 which overheated more than the 888. The 8+ Gen 1 corrected it.

    The efficiency between Snap 8+ Gen 1 and Gen 2 are far closer than Snap 8 Gen 1 to Gen 2. I'd still be interested in the Fold 5 just for Samsung to eliminate that annoying crease. Some think it's worse on the Flip but I think it's the opposite. It's worse on the Fold because the crease is longer and it has S-Pen support which makes it hard to draw a straight line. It's also awkward signing signatures.

    I would get the Oppo Find N or N2 but AT&T has a whitelist for certain phones to work on their network. It's why I can't buy the Unihertz Tank. AT&T is very selective on phones that work on their network. I would leave them if wasn't for ACP getting a monthly unlimited prepaid for only $20. That's an 80% savings from my current T-Mobile bill.

          Random UI is indeed worse than another random UI. Should change its name into CleanerOS, because it has similar interface as cheap cache cleaner app.

          One UI is too beautiful to compare with another lower Tier class UI.

                  Will see when Samsung gets A series foldable for around that price(or Flip style A series phone for less money(Of course old models are much cheaper to buy, when Flip 4 launcher i saw 600 euros for the Flip 3).

                    Honestly I've had 3 oppos and loved the 2 cheap ones as were great deals. So got one of the more expensive ones and it was lacking compared to other brands in features but one's I didn't care about so was fine. But then they abandoned it so it only got 1 android update, 3 months after its release while still on shelves. So less than a year after I got it, was old and their customer service response was an absolute joke. Will never buy them again. Know Samsung are not angels but at least they update models for 4 years. Hope you have good luck with them if you go that way. I likes the pop up cam the most on mine as not hold punch. The underscreen finger print scanner was also best I've used. Credit where it's due but lack of updates was unacceptable especially as bit changers had been made in android with auto and few other features. 1 update, 15 months into it's life would have kept me happy.

In 2023 we have first globally available foldables from Oppo and Honor. By my calculations, they can rest on their laurels in 2023 and 2024, with 2025 being the year when they get serious with hardware.
