@nothing phone 1 company has to fix video recorder issue on camera app.
Video is flickering. Not smoothly capture any video after Android 13. Its stabilization feature was very good before Android 13. But it is very bad now. I can not record a single video by nothing phone 1. Kindly fix it.

Yes! they should ban phones without stereo jack, then go back using Nokia 3310 and play music on Sony Walkman with state of the art tech to forward and reverse magnetic tapes...

Everything keeps going up, especially in markets like smartphones where the hype is really dying down and people are more and more reluctant to spend. So yeah - we see 'creative' cash grabs like this. The headphone jack is another one, does everyone want/need wireless? Nope. But you pretty much HAVE to now. It's an ugly, capitalist world!

Were all corporations in losses during that time? Not at all. They were still showing record sales and making huge bank. So there's no need for them to do it now citing reasons like environmentalism or "you already have a charger at home".
The right way to do this would've been to include an option of opting out of a charger in the box.
I understand I'm arguing from what seems to you from an idealistic standpoint, but trust me in India, everyone besides these two companies offer fast chargers (much much faster than what Samsung and Apple offer) and a case in the box - so it's definitely not idealistic here. And they've managed to do that with environmentalism in mind.
But alas you are right. It is what it is and I'm just going to have to accept it as what it is and move on. Apologies if I came on too strong. I mean you no offense. It's just I've had to deal with so many people constantly justifying it that I immediately assume the worst. My bad

It is indeed a cash grab but to be fair, they could have kept the charger in and raised prices by 20, 30 or even 50$ and made EVERYONE pay the price instead of leaving the choice to the consumer. There's always two sides to everything.

My point entirely is regardless of whether we know or don't know why they do that, it's scummy at best and as a consumer, we shouldn't support them or even justify them.

I am just explaining why they have done this. From the manufacturer's perspective, the price was going up no matter what. So they decided to give the consumer the choice - if you have a charger, you're fine, otherwise you're spending that 20$. It is what it is.

For a company to squeeze more profits there can be n number of reasons, but as a consumer does it benefit me? Absolutely not. So I won't support that.
And you're forgetting something very important, chargers were always bundled with devices. Even cases are. To this day they are bundled. It's only Samsung and Apple doing what you say.
Not sure why you limit the smartphone market to just those two options when there are a ton of other options.

The smartphone business has really stagnated and is, overall, in a decline. People upgrade less frequently and don't seem to care much about buying the best devices anymore. That's why we see 1000$+ smartphones, chargers and earphones taken out of the box, etc. It's an easy way to increase your margin on the device itself and generate further revenue from selling the accessories separately. So yes, coming back to my point, if they want to bundle a charger, we would have seen prices increase even more (talking about Apple and Samsung mostly).

We can either: a) get a charger in the box and companies raise the phone price by 20-30$ or b) buy our own charger if we need one, personally I prefer the second option.
