Of you go into developer settings in android you'll see that your phone supports every single Bluetooth codec.

        Any other codecs like AAC, LHDC, and AptX requires licensing fees. The license cost is not much, but very few big manufacturers are going to support it which in the Western world is Samsung and Apple who haven't done that in their earbuds so far other than AAC.

The new Bluetooth codec that is part... moreLHDC is currently the best codec out on BT devices, FiiO, the world's second-largest Digital Audio Player manufacturer have adopted the codec too and xiaomi implements it in their earbuds (2nd to 3rd largest phone company around). Probably going be more if oppo start adding it to their earbud line and huawei (co founder of the codec).

                  It means, spotify does not support lhdc. And spotify does not have any plan to support it.

                        LHDC is going nowhere. The new Bluetooth codec that is part of the standard is LC3 which would end up the dominant codec replacing SBC.
