AnonD-7433, 02 Apr 2013I bet you haven't checked on the Note II before posting tha... moreIt's you who is not getting the whole picture. Considering the size of the RAZR MAXX and Moto was able to install a big battery, why can't these other phone manufacturers specially HTC can't. Now Samsung is following the same. Why? Just because this is not their flagship phone and they consider it as a mid-level entry phone and because of that they can skimp on battery? And do you think the users of those Note are satisfied with the performance of their battery?

Now all you have to do is read, and do the math. If you're wise, you'll shut up. But if you insist, just read this http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_mega_confirmed_to_sport_a_58inch_display-news-5828.php and the comments in them and also the comments in this article about the battery. I am not a Samsung hater, in fact I own one of their 7 inch tablet and a Galaxy Grand Duos. Just to be clear.

Its a great business move. Attempt to cater to all. I like larger screens because I am a student andsmall business owner. It is too much to have to check inmy tablet when going to.secure office locations. A large screen is also ideal forsomeof my elderlyclients, and extrememultitaskers.

SIM insertion is very disgusting with all Samsung mobiles. Samsung should pay more attention in easing SIM insertion, increasing battery life and aesthetics of getup.

Well if the Note 2 was already big but still acceptable this 'mega phones' would really be to big.
The name should be a mini tablet instead

AnonD-7433, 02 Apr 2013O that's funny. :D But you gotta love Samsung for givin... moreYep. And I'm one of them.

It makes me smile.. People went on about the original Note being ridiculously big and it wouldn't sell.. It did very well indeed then the bigger Note 2 was ridiculed, it was too big for a phone .. But the Note 2 became a top seller and arguably the phone to beat. Even Apple fans scoffed that that the iPhone 4 was the perfect screen size.. oddly enough that was until the iPhone 5 came along of course (funny that) Samsung have done a fantastic job with their range of devices and the bigger screens are becoming the next big thing in all senses of the word. I personally am very excited by the next generation of tablets.

It's funny how people bash Samsung for giving them options.

If you couldn't care less, let it rot unsold. If you care, then buy it and nobody else should give a d* f* about it. It's your choice and your money after all.

That said, I find it ridiculously large! :-)

I wonder if the 'Mega' range is low-to-mid devices.

It's just the name, makes it seem like it's a spin-off to the note series, just cheaper versions.

More and different options...how can that be a bad thing? I think Samsung is very smart to offer all these different sizes.
