Motorola's Razr+ 2023 might have a tiny battery

A new leak claims that's the name the company will be going with.

Coincidentally, Mi is also preparing a phone for kids with a small battery and 108 grams weight.

Coincidence? Or there's something of a change coming in the entire industry?
Have illuminati finally ordered the end of heavy phones in the low end segment?
Or has Google learned to spy in low energy mode?

Once again:- reminding people that my Nokia 808 did 2 days battery in 1400mah, and it did almost everything a smartphone does.

      Hear me out:

Nothing can compensate for a small battery.

No chance Motorola would do that to themselves.

Maybe it's overhyped capacity for a dual cell but there's just no way they'll kill their capacity like that while also increasing external screen size

The Razr 2022 had similar rumors last year stating the battery capacity would be about the same as the Razr 5G at 2800 mAh. Then it came out with 3500 mAh. You can see a June 18, 2022 article from PhoneArena stating this.

Just wait for the official announcement. Don't rely on rumors. Now if this is true which I highly doubt it will be, Galaxy Z Flip 5 already won the flip battle year. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 would need to work miracles.

blue, 17 Mar 2023It would be a typical Lenovo move...Thats definitely not true. Lenovo rather giving than reducing.
This aint Samsung where fr increased price you get worse or much worse device than several it predecessors.
                  Good example A54 vs A53, A52 and A51.

"We are assuming that 2,850 mAh could be the capacity of one of the cells, housed in one of the two halves of the phone, and it will be aided by some more in the other half" I hope so

Its Milan, 17 Mar 2023What if 2850mah is one of the two cells Like most of the f... moreIn total that would be 5700mAh if both cells are the same size. I doubt that's possible in a clamshell like this. If the other half is smaller, like 1000mAh or something, then yeah that would make sense.

What if 2850mah is one of the two cells
Like most of the flip still smartphones use dual cell to distribute weight in two halfs

For the 2 or 3 units that they sell, it's not that it's something important either!!!

How can you go from 3500mAh to 2850mAh in one year? I can't fathom that. The only reason I can see that is Motorola trying to make a thinner Razr.

Can motorola just go home. they sound like they have given up.

Now let's hope the battery is bigger than that, or Motorola (and Lenovo for that matter) doesn't end up being totally irrelevant in the phone space. I always like to see more competition.
