Luckily this phone priced same as A53 in Malaysia. This time around it's worth the price for that build quality as non other phone equipped with glass back under RM2000.

Either way I don't see updates as a good thing at all, sure they might make the user experience better, but they might just make your phone unusable.
A good phone doesn't need software updates, this one did, because early reviewers said that even the UI was lagging, the A54 costs between 540 and 600 eur in my country, that is just absolutely insane with 300 eur specs.

I’ve been traumatized by Samsung’s updates already. The OneUI 4 update caused my Galaxy S20+ 5G to develop the infamous green line problem that required screen replacement altogether, and it so happens that the update came right just about after the warranty expired. It’s as if Samsung intentionally sabotaged these old but still wonderfully working devices to force us to purchase the new ones.
I’ll never accept the fact that I had to pay $240 to get the display replaced. I still did it because the phone is otherwise phenomenal and very usable in 2023.
I just hope that Samsung won’t be sabotaging my device again with future monthly security updates, or else I’ll be sure to never trust Samsung ever again.

Galaxy A54 5g with monthly updates should be priced about 600-700 USD(or equivalent). A 500 USD of Galaxy is just very cheap and underpriced.

Thats why Samsung is better than other buggy chinese phone that comes without monthly software patch. Other chinese phone are sending a message that a lag/bug problem would be solved in the next 6 months/ next year.

That's them... morePerhaps it's because they haven't tested the camera performance pre-update yet since this phone was just announced here as "in for review" very recently. Maybe they're just about to start doing their photography test after this update became available and the results will be uploaded later together with the full review.
But yeah, these update/patch articles are pretty common here with not much substance and basically just a screenshot of the update log.

Well it's nice that they do the bug fix update but it would be nice if they release a phone that dont need a bug fix update after only 1-2 weeks of release.
It sends me a message that they are selling me a broken product that didnt go trough testing.
