It has to be good enough for the price because this phone will get 4 OS updates so it's better that the phone remains fast and reliable till then

Again, that difference may have lessened now, Exynos may be actually better this time, but we will wait for reviews for both the phones

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2023You're wrong about a few things
1) I know they aren... moreI had assumed that you are interested in gaming, because you talked about chipset. Usually people interested only in the chipset of a phone, are people interested in gaming or raw performance. But, a phone, and especially Samsung phones, are much more than just chipset.
Yeah, true, their Exynos chipsets are not perfect, but just because people are comparing them with SD all the time and because those people want them for gaming or performance. For day to day usage, I am pretty sure Exynos 1380 will be good enough. Even the Exynos 1280 in the A53, was good enough for day to day usage.
As for the overheating, that's happening usually when you try to multitask or do heavy tasks (like gaming). I had the A53 for short time and in day to day usage and normal tasks it never overheated. Again, people should stop buying smartphones for heavy gaming or heavy tasks (especially the A series). There are consoles for this thing, and nowadays the portable consoles are starting to be more appealing.

And you know which Exynos is not over heating, the Exynos 2100 in Galaxy S21. Yeah I also don't understand how it was possible that my Snapdragon S21 FE was worst (especially in battery live) than my Exynos S21.

Samsung got everything right with the A52s 5G until they took away the headphone jack since the A53. I really cannot recommend this phone tbh, not even the A34 as well.

There are other reasons to keep people locked in with Samsung.
For instance there is no alternative for Samsung Smart Tag. I mean there is but not serious one .
There are features of Samsung Smart watch that are not working if you don't have a Samsung .
Some companies do not allow you to acces the corporate email unless you have Knox .
For that reason alone A54 it's an alternative to S. You have to see the phone as a cheaper alternative to S serios as some of us have no option.
I used to be Xiaomi user but now for the above reasons I'm locked in Samsung . s series myself and A class other family members .
You have to weight that in . The other must create a valuable ecosystem as Apple and Samsung did otherwise it will be more and more difficult in the long run .

1) I know they aren't gaming phones. I never said I'm looking for gaming phone in A series. IDK where that assumption of yours came from
2) Samsung here doesn't reduce the prices of their A series phones so it's likely going to be the same even after 6 months. So it'll remain overpriced like it was
3) As for the processor, it's not about the performance but their efficiency and battery management. Exynos phones tend to overheat more than others and lose battery life which has been seen in many videos by reviewers on yt

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2023For me it's the processor and the price. Either they r... moreThe price always goes down for Samsung phones. Nobody is forcing you to buy Samsung phones in day 1 release, especially when you know this price reduction information. And this happens just few months after release (2-3 months maximum).
As for the processor, we need to wait for some in depth reviews and longer term testing of the phone. I doubt that the Exynos 1380 is much worse than Dimensity 1080 for example. If anything it should perform better overall, otherwise Samsung will not have used it in A54.
Also, people should not forget what are A series from Samsung intended for. This are not gaming phones and should not be treated as such. If you want to buy A54 and then game on it all day, then is your fault. Just buy a dedicated gaming device.

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2023No 3.5mm jack, Crappynos, Overpriced, No Buy!For me it's the processor and the price. Either they reduce the price or can change processor to some better Snapdragon one. They pull off both at once - Exynos chip and high price. That's just wrong

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2023My A03s lagged and stuttered in doing almost everything eve... moreWho buys A0x or A1x models? I will buy these models only for elderly people who need only calls.
I have the A23 5G for example. I got it, just because it was 50% discounted (150€, like new phone, with 7 cycles of battery, 12 month warranty). And I needed a cheap 5G Android phone. The phone is not perfect, true, but I can do everything on it (web browsing, light gaming, watching videos/movies, calling, messages, video calling, etc.). And by the way, I have the base variant (4Gb/64Gb). I have some lag each and there, but is very rarely. If I don't multitask (which I usually don't, even when I had flagships), the phone is perfectly usable without lag.
If you bought a Galaxy A0x or A1x to use it as your primary phone, then is your fault. You can get almost as similar prices (like new phones), A2x or even A3x models. These models can easily be used as primary phones (if you are not a heavy user of the phone).
Is not Samsung fault. Samsung releases A0x or A1x for very poor countries and for certain categories of people, that don't do much else on their phones. They are not releasing A1x phone to be compared with A5x for example.
