One Plus 11r(8+128) is 490usd in India and it has 8+ Gen 1 and better display. I would say this phone is going to be 400usd for similar ram and storage variant.

There must be SOME cutbacks. No way a phone with this screen-to-body ratio (around 94%) is 350. Dolby Atmos with 7+ Gen 2, 12-bit AMOLED, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB UFS 3.1 storage. And the display is very and I mean, impossibly big. Coming at 6.67 inches and LITTLE to no chin.

Yea, idkwhat Xiaomi is doing but a phone like this in the US would be at least 3x more than 350.

This chinese phone is not worth more than 350$

MRSTEK, 25 Mar 2023It seems that the majority of this website are not from whe... moreWhere the phones are manufactured has nothing to do to with the specs of the phone. The majority of the readers of this website are geeks, as geeks we want more features and durability on a phone, and the companies that produce the phones are only interested in selling phones. When apple started to remove features, making it more fragile and less repairable and selling that as "premium", the other companies (samsung, xiaomi, etc.) found out that they can do the same and people would believe it and continue buying their products. A glass back is not a premium feature, is a mechanism to charge 400$ every once on a while to your customer, a sealed battery is a must for selling the next big thing to you faithful customer, an optical fingerprint reader (or face recognition) is a futuristic "cool" method of authentication, less reliable and slower than capacitive side or back mounted sensors. The missing 3.5 mm jack, implies 0.25$ less on designing and fabrication, and more possibilities that your customer buy the wireless earbuds. If you want more space, bought the 100$ pricier version, or bought space on the cloud, a micro sd is cheaper so is anything but rentable. More cameras looks cooler even if they are useless, like the 2mp macro or 8 mp ultrawide with a crappy sensor, and not everyone can pay 1000$ for 3 useful cameras. All this is a little over simplified, but is why the actual tendency of less features, more fragile and pricier phones are being sold ('they are premium", "people don't use that", and people really continue to buy the phones). And the ones that want more features, like the people on the comments who want microsd cards, plastic backs, 3.5mm jack, fingerprint capacitive sensors, aren't the ideal customers for the phone manufacturers, because we want useful and durable phones, and unlike the rest of population, we don't gonna change a functional phone for a little improvement on the cpu or the camera.

So size of storage doesnt make storage faster, Type of nand, Controller etc are the one which make stotage faster.

Can you imagine how fast the storage speed on that thing will be?

It may be faster than flagships with 128gb ufs 4

Also i forgot to mention, why is Redmi Note 12 Turbo getting Android 13 out of box while 13 Lite Android 12? It doesn't make sense.

Next version: redmi note 12 twin turbo engine

It seems that the majority of this website are not from where the phones are designed/manufactured. You can see them complaining about headphone jack, storage expansion, cameras and many other things every day, every year.

I have a genuine question to ask. If consumers are really that disappointed, why the hell there are no local companies designing phones for local people? I think many regions/counties have enough capitals and human resources to do so, at least you can design the hardware and outsouce producion in SEA.
