Motorola Moto G53s 5G gets listed on the Google Play Console

26 March 2023
The phone seems to be a toned-down version of the regular Moto G53.

blue, 26 Mar 2023They already did.I had hope for them in 2022. Their phones released last year were all solid: Moto G82, G72, G62, G52, Edge 30 Fusion, Edge 30 and even little gems like Edge 30 Neo.

Now in 2023 they're regressing af, releasing garbage like this that is akin to Nokia. At same price last year Moto you would have a better chipset and an OLED display. I'm starting to lose hope for Moto now if this is what they are releasing. Starting to feel a little discouraged for Edge 40 series.

2019 - Meh Moto, same as it had been since 2016.

2020 - Quiet start to new Moto era: interesting phones like Moto Edge released.

2021 - Pretty good year, release of hardware-based phones like Edge 20 (which I loved so much). Release of good budget phones like Moto G31, etc.

2022 - Peak Motorola. Excellent Edge 30 series, excellent G series. Marketing priority was to put OLED and stereo speakers on all phones, including budget phones. Such a great direction.

2023 - So far looking like a drop in quality. OLEDs on G series have been axed, 720p screens are making a comeback, charging same prices for worse hardware... Not looking good. Hopefully Edge 40 series will be good at least.

I pray that Moto doesn't go down the same route that Nokia/HMD went down.

So we already have a bad product with the G53, and this will be worse?
