Then Google made some mess in the interface just to make it somehow different from iOS. Then each manufacturer added it's own mess to look it distinct. What variant of the mess is your favorite?

Changes just for changes? Is it worth? I do not see what to improve. They should not spoil what is perfect.

Finally even the guys @ apple realize the UI is outdated.
I mean common its riduculous that in 2013 the UI of iphone 5 is not too different from the 3gs.
          LIVEWALLPAPER BABY!

If they rush this out to meet the June deadline for new ios announcement then this is another big mistake made by tech-guru Tim Cook, lol. This will disappoint alot of icrap fanbois, beacause it will be another beta product just like last year beta iMap.

I'm pretty sure Apple will pull a metro gaffe with this change.

Apple could learn a lot from the jailbreak community. There are tons of tweaks and apps that make iOS much more usable and customizable. Tweaks and apps like Auxo, BiteSMS (fantastic for quick replies), Browser Changer, CallBar, Diet Bulletin (making banner notifications smaller), FolderEnhancer (removes 12 app lock), Gridlock (place icons anywhere), HapticPro (haptic feedback), Infinidock, LockInfo, SwipeSelection, WeatherIcon (live weather on the Weather icon -- no more sunny and 73 degrees), and Zephyr.

Apple has never liked jailbreaking, but it makes iOS so much more better. If they don't want people to jailbreak, then they should incorporate a lot of these tweaks and apps.

nxus, 03 Apr 2013will they still support iPhone 3gs for the iOS 7? Whatcha think? It's better for 3GS run on older iOS 3 or 4. It can't even run iOS 6 let alone iOS 7 with limited hardware.

                          The next new feature:
Another new row of icons. Cook, "We have a new role of icons on top of the one added in 6. IPhone is the only phone in the world with the most number of rows, and we are striving to improve that even more with future versions of iOS. This and our vision of a taller iPhone every few generations will indeed make iPhone the only product in the world that is able to show any number of rows of icons you truely desire. This is real innovation indeed! No one has ever done this beside us!"

I have just managed to sell my iPhone 4S 32GB (Nov 2011) for £380 on eBay and iPad 3 32 GB for £330. My opinion is Apple products have a good resale value may be because they are more reliable than Android products. Now I have an S3 which is indeed a powerhouse but certainly not good when it comes to battery.

so it has taken them 5 years for a decent UI makeover, finally lol, its dull out dated and boring, I have a galaxy s3 with beautiful customization options straight out of the box, I also have an latest ipad which SUCKS because of its lack of anything useful, but since I have jailbroken it at least it looks decent enough, would also be good if you could add in extra codec support for movies and music, along with being able to connect via bluetooth to devices other then apple, stupid or what, file manager with option for usb mode for pc access, even if you dealt with just a few of the above then you would have a much better product and a bigger market share, I cant even sell my iPad as nobody wants them, the local shops have an excess of iPhones/iPads/iPods, which clearly tells you something about the products, people get bored after a few weeks with apple products and will change for a more reliable and friendly less restrictive product.

A simply ui change won't do the whole trick. They're lacking features. People are waking up, why would someone pay 700$ or Euros for an iphone when they can get something that offers software as good if not better starting at 250$ (Nexus 4).

                                      Yeah, that's right. 250$
