Maybe you think the laws of physics changed over that time as well.

"hate it for its perceived impact on battery longevity."

I find it interesting that people on the gsmarena team are skeptical of this

When they mostly like DON'T keep a smartphone for more than 3 years

PLUS the same people that worry about longevity actively drain their batteries below 20% or charge overnight to 100% with no concern or fear

Now that they got the Zero Ultra.... couldn't they also make a review of it? Would be interested to see that

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2023Fast charging will always kill a battery faster than usual.... moreLook at this rigid dogmatic thinking.. this is how people truly become "old"

I only ever had issues with my phones that have 18W or slower charging. Using a phone while charging is never recommended no matter the charging speeds. Except maybe on Asus phones with that feature that you were talking about.

[deleted post]Ever heard of rules or following said rules?

Also people actually complain about fast charging messing up batteries, you just dont see it. I have my own experiences with fast charging, at least old ones, that did reduced battery life in two exact same phones that just used fast and normal chargers.

Also fast charging have some problems when you actually use heavily phone at the same time, like during gaming, when phone AND Battery get really hot. Weirdly only few phones use direct power system that skip battery when you charge them saving life of battery, as this thing is mostly mess battery. That system it self would lengthen battery life WAY better than any charging method...

[deleted post]I think you might be a little too toxic to read the rules, so I'll help a little bit. You broke at least 3 rules, these 2 for example, now read the rest for yourself.

Rule 3 quoted: "No expressions of hatred based on race/ethnicity, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, disability, religion and political affiliation"

Rule 4 quoted: "No politics or religious discussions. Please stick to tech topics here, we will not tolerate posts advocating any political or religious views or causes"

Cmpany like Google, Apple, Sony and Samsung could get a biggest slap in their life by chinese companies which fastcharging solutins are way better than no charging solutions by those 4.
Imagine if customers would leave abandon said brands for good.

I think this is huge if the battery can swap fast like old days the issue if drop capacity is meaningless you can buy another battery for 10dollar this charge time is impressive!

More than ten times faster charging than what Apple considers "enough" nowadays for a flagship far into the 1000€ range..

The other reason is that, the white version became available on Alza about 2 months prior to the black version, so I bought it, but then I saw a video of the black version looking even better, and I bought that as well.
