Whats even funnier is that 3G is not turned off at all, its just out of reach for their customers. 3G is still in use for roaming clients, at least on Verizon/AT&T

I am surprised they even are able to support is, considering how messed up the US telco market is.
In essence the big telcos decide is the smaller ones on their network can give support to certain phones or not.
Technically a white list, because that’s how powerful those guys sadly are.
