I got Alps android Head Unit the chinese one, it doesn't have adds but only if you install apps with adds which is common this days, the device is a bit slow with it's 1GB ram but works good for music videos, maps and internet.

I hope Geely doesn't shove this into Polestar vehicles. Does Volvo still have a controlling stake in Polestar?

Meizu phones are like malware in form of a phone. So many bloatware and ads, who knows what kind of data they collect on you and how transparent it is

Few years ago we had 2 Meizu phones in my family. Both got a terrible bloatware/advertisement after a system upgrade. It registrated both of the phones phone number to a pay to play service than after a few weeks after we got the bills. There was no way to phisically unsub from the service, so we had to ask the service provider to disable all the phone payments. Since than i don't want to hear anything about Meizu and Flyme OS.

While this is "cool" and I'm a big advocate for FlymeOS and Meizu...
...this is a bad idea!
A phone is a personal device that connects via ports, cards, and to the internet. It can be compromised. Integrating it deeply with the car is a recipe for disaster. It means that the car's security functions can be bypassed, and hijacked by a rouge software or an individual. We need to remember that a car is a "heavy equipment" which can easily cause harm and death. So it needs to be robust, safe, and the software unimpregnable.
This will be exploited, and it will lead to a recall. Unless they backtrack on this idea.
Just ask the aviation folks!
