But, is funny, I had the Xiaomi 12T for some time and the updates were not that often. And I know people with Xiaomi 11T (including one colleague who had it for about 12 months, bought it new on day 1), who didn't get security updates even for 4 months at a time.
So, either Xiaomi doesn't respect what they are saying on that site, or there are big gaps depending on the region and models. Which is not good or reliable at all.
I live in EU country by the way.
In comparison, I had Samsung phones (including second hand older models), and I always received the update as instructed on their site. If they said each month update, there will be each month updates. If they said each 3 months update, there will be each 3 months updates, no delays. That's how you earn the trust of your customers. Not by promising and not delivering, or delivering just sometimes.

Updated my M52 yesterday and update seems good and smooth. Have to check the battery drain though.

Also, how do you know this information, Xiaomi never publicly says this? And is no official site where you can see which models are eligible for certain updates.
Samsung is transparent about this and you can always see which models are on which Android version or on which security patches.
Apple is even better, because no matter where you are in the world, all iPhones from a certain model are on the same update. No differences, no miss interpretations.
Xioami and Chinese manufacturers are just wanna be Samsung and Apple. They will never reach the same level in software support. Because their business model is created just to put nice specs on paper (without optimisation) and release as many models as possible, in the idea some will get bought.

Xiaomi is still ok but Moto is worse. So arrogant, they did provide just 1, let me repeat JUST ONE UPDATE, to their phone.
I'm holding Moto G51 5G and this phone was introduced with Android 11, even after minths of Android 12 release, will not get Android 13 at all.

I'm in Europe and here they update their phones slower than they release the successor. You would actually be happy to even get a single Android update on Xiaomi. Europe is huge market as well and if we're gonna pay more for the same phone then they should give users more updates, not less.
Sorry but Samsung is the king of updates for Android. And Xiaomi is last. Realme and even Motorola are better in system updating

90% Xiaomi phones have got MIUI 14 with Android 13 and a bit of Android 12 (for older phones). At least in big markets, regions have a big influence to get fast updates. Just like in this article discussing getting updates in India.
GSMArena only post very few than Samsung. Originally Xiaomi phones have got a lot as I explained above. Which makes other people not understand anything about Xiaomi or any other Chinese phone.

Samsung is the best Android manufacturer when it comes to software updates. And looking at the phone numbers, I think it surpasses Apple, because Apple has fewer models to take care of.
True, sometimes these software updates can bring some bugs each and there. But, anybody who knows how a software works, knows that these are inevitable. The good part is that they are correcting them in short time. Unlike Chinese manufacturers, who take much longer time for software updates or to fix some bugs.
