From my perspective as an Asian (Malaysian specifically), there is still a gulf of price between Xiaomi and Samsung. The aforementioned Poco X5 Pro is like €80 cheaper than Samsung A54. While €80 might seem like small change in Europe, it is a big difference in this region.

Basically a refresh of 2 years old Redmi Note 10 Pro but with faster charging speed and Dolby Atmos, funny how it's still better than normal Redmi Note 12 4G

I agree that price plays a factor in this Redmi success, but looking just at the specs its not half bad compared to phones like Realme 10 and Oppo A78.

With Xiaomi's pattern so far, they'll release like 14 variants of the 18 series lmao deadass no one gonna remember it all 💀
But ok kidding aside, this is really a double-edged sword for marketing. Interested people may have a look at it and will have a general idea, but those who aren't technical may buy the wrong variant and...not want a Xiaomi again because of the confusion.
Not my cup of tea; I really prefer less variants per generation, so you can pick one and know what you picked.

But it got it's reputation for that with also a lot of spyware installed on the phones.
But all of that was expected from low budget price point and it was awesome to get good specs in the price point with hardware so i bought there phone cause of that.
Now the note series is as expensive as Samsung A34 and A54. While with these 2 the problem is that they dont have 3.5mm jack but at least you get good hardware and 3-4 android update plus 4-5 years security updates.And on these prices these make sense.
Xiaomi Redmi Note on these prices just makes no sense as you dont get even over the top hardware for it. Poco X5 Pro for now is probably the best phone to get from Xiaomi as it has some what ok hardware for the 350 euro it goes for

It's more like Redmi is like HMD/Nokia that makes a lot of these low end and old chip phones with high price point now too. It's basically like Helio G99 that SD732G
