I like this initiative by Apple, namely because they really don't have to do this. watchOS is so far ahead of the competition that they can just ignore it, but it's nice to see that they're not.

Anonymous, 05 Apr 2023UI on a watch is more about quick viewing and collecting in... more
You have to tap to check, reply and dismiss. It's actually less quick than pulling out your phone.
Notification viewing: Can never see all the needed info like on a phoneso useless.
Alerts: alerts for what? An imminent zombie apocalypse?
Health check: hahaha useless info like heartrate isn't a health check. It can't tell me why I have diarrhea. Besides, smartwatchesare bad for your health, lol the irony.
Music: can't find the song I want, horrible to navigate
Voice assistent/calls: yea, like I want to havea conversation on speaker, let alone with my watch. Douchy and cringe af, not to mention very inefficient.

TheAlienNextDoor, 04 Apr 2023Can't imagine a UI that would mitigate the awkwardness... moreUI on a watch is more about quick viewing and collecting info.
For example, notification viewing, alerts, health check and so on. So apps like fitness, alerts, music, quick toggle, voice assistant excels.
Not so much about tapping and navigating.. ie. games or typing a message. Although the new keyboard is surprisingly good for fat fingers.

Can't imagine a UI that would mitigate the awkwardness and unreliability of tapping with fingers on these ewaste wrist phones.
