You cant deny the fact that it is getting ridiculous with these phone designs. One thing is to look alike, like the galaxy 3 and the galaxy 4, but another is to look exactly alike with the only difference being the screen size(Note1, Note 2, Galaxy3, Galaxy Duos, Galaxy mini, Galaxy mini s4, galaxy Win and Trend II, galaxy ace, galaxy 2014, galaxy 8, galaxy only in china, Galaxy mars, galaxy universe, Galaxy etc etc.)
I prefer a phone that looks "alike" another phone rather than a phone that looks EXACTLY alike.

Don't complain about many models.. Samsung designs it's midrange devices different for different market.. For example, I cannot get s3 mini here as it is only for Europe market.. Similarly these new 2 phones are only for Chinese market.. They design their product according to specific market.. And this strategy is working well for them.. If you count all those devices then it seems many.. But its not that many when you go to your local store..

I have to remind you that any cover that's made out of a metallic material like aluminum can shield up the GSM antennas of the wireless device making the device to receive no signal or to lose its receiving capabilities decreasing its signal quality download and upload wireless/4G speeds. Also the electromagnetic radiation that hits the brain would be higher since the power of the transmission has to be increased to go through the aluminum cover but since there's no aluminium cover on the.side of the screen that's been kept close to the head when you talk the higher radiation hits the brain first.
Plastic doesn't shield up the GSM or wireless antennas of such mobile devices so plastic is the best material to use in such mobile devices like smarthphones.
But could some non tech savy users understand such important technical details ? I guess no.

Actually there's no such thing as "cheap plastic" only the way more cheaper aluminum and glass.
These are the actual prices of materials if you do a google search:
Plastic price is around 3.5 $ / Kg
Aluminum price is around 2 $ / Kg
Glass is actually the cheapest below 1 $ / Kg
So all glass and aluminum fans are actually the cheapest in town. LOLOLOL

Each company dealing with mobile telephony have many employees hired for surveying every day this forum. i can tell you this for sure, i work for such a company...AND NOW,I SIMPLY CAN'T UNDERSTAND why samsung did not have any people for such job, for marketing purposes. The main problem of samsung now is the boring design and the cheap materials. they loose customers like me wich can't stand their horrible plastic cases. everyone is yelling here about samsung's horrible design and plastic, but they keep walking ahead on this way, with this design, like a stupid donkey :))
