    Redmi Note 12S exactly the same as 11S, but worse and more expensive.

        Isn't it a bit funny ( or strange) how GSMA acts shocked at the "sneaky" debut after they had "announced the completed rollout of the new Redmi Note 12 series in Europe", as if they are the official announcers for Xiaomi ( or any company)?
        Stranger still that when announcing that "completion" earlier, they talked about this same event in Athens where this "sneaky" debut happened.

        P.S. The NamingMess Award for the year goes to Xiaomi once again, and it's only April yet.

                11s was a Helio g96 powered device with the addition of NFC vs the standard 10 that didn't support NFC (snapdragon 6something version). This has 90hz AMOLED screen
                The 10s had also g96 chip and NFC but a 64mp cam and 60hz AMOLED .

                  The problem with using old chipsets is Qualcomm dropping driver support for them, and without it, no Android upgrades. Well, it’s not like Xiaomi is known for its software support anyway.

                  The thing is, doing this would cost Xiaomi more money (making a new model with all legalities involved in certifications and such, plus new marketing materials). If they couldn’t use newer stuff, why not just keep producing the old model and updating the OS? It would be more cost efficient. This is why Apple simply keep making older models and only make new flagships. It saves them money versus Android OEMs who feel the need to keep releasing new phone models in all segments every 6 months.
