And that's because no one has the money to buy an apple device in full and up front (without installments). Nobody should, buy apple all together, but that's another story. And who do you think you are to call other countries "third-world" anyways? Comming from someone that lives in a country that creates chaos and war's in all the world only for it to sell guns, and had presidents that were as smart as a monkey living in a cage, with a population that plunges in a sea of ignorance, is quite daring...

          Best Buy, always sells unlocked phones. I purchased an Iphone and they said it was unlocked. But they open the box and put a sim and unlock it. That's what they call as unlocked phone. I gave it back after paying a restocking fee. After that I stopped buying anything from Best Buy.
          Buy it from Apple/Samsung/Sony directly if you want unlocked from the company

                    Literally 99% of countries in the world sell Unlocked phones through normal 3rd party sellers like Big Tech stores except Usa which you need to buy from Official.
                    In over 20 years of buying phones. Only USA has some 3rd world country nonsense.

                      Best Buy is actually a good market. Very few faulty goods. In general you get superb goods. Amazon is miles worse. Ebay is full with fake trashes.

                          Indonesia is quite rare for unlocked iPhones, especially the X, XS and several 11 series.

                            Last phone I bought at full price at best buy was the iPhone 6. I don't remember if it was locked to At&T, I was able to unlock it through my carrier. After that phone, they wouldn't let me purchase iPhones at full price.

                                Not like Best Buy gives you a good discount on those unlock iphones. Anyone looking for unlock iphones can just buy it off apple store direct. What's this biggie with Best Buy?

                                  it's crazy to me that up until this point people were shelling out for (still) overpriced phones that you couldn't even buy without a carrier lock anywhere but the apple store...
