Overall image processing ... moreIt's literally impossible for cellphones to take pictures as good as ordinary cameras until somebody invents a new kind of aperture. There are formulas for it. A tiny lens is always the limiting factor in telephoto sharpness and low light performance. Smaller apertures blur the image and you boost a lot of noise trying to sharpen it again. At the same time, smaller apertures let in less light and you get more noise simply from not having enough photons to count.
Some modern cameras are using AI to repaint the image to look good. This sometimes looks good but with the cost of strange artifacts.
A moderately good mirrorless camera can take urban night photos, handheld, no flash, no stacking, no pixel binning, and with no noise processing or sharpening. Cellphones need heavy processing even under ideal conditions.

Samsung and Apple don't. That means everyone should buy this phone and Samsung should stick to making washing machines.

Have you ever seen a photo from a $1000 CSC or ... moreim not comparing it to most high end cameras, but my s23 ultra takes better photos than my tz200 at night for example with a one inch sensor.. and considering their size and hardware limintations being able to take good shots in pitch black darkness is still impressive

When will we finally see smartphones producing images comparable with real cameras (in real detail and sharpness). Dynamic Range and Low Light is probably better than most cameras OoC.
