blue, 10 Apr 2023They only change phones because the manufacturer no longer ... moreNot really. I'm using three years old Redmi Note 9 Pro and will use it at least a year ahead. I received the last upgrade a year ago (to Android 12 with MIUI 13, which means I got two upgrades from the initial Android 10 to 12). Followed by the last update earlier this year (MIUI 14 with all security patches but no OS upgrade). That would be a total of four years of usage time. And this is particularly because mine was a 64 GB model, which is not enough for both personal and work usage. If I used 128 GB, I might even use it until two years later.
The other brand you mentioned is pricing its product around 1.5 times more expensive which will be supported for up to four years (and let's be frank, worldwide wise, only Samsung does this). The other brand that serves midrange devices, other than Xiaomi, never mentions any upgrade plan (Yes, I'm talking about you Oppo/Vivo).

blue, 10 Apr 2023They only change phones because the manufacturer no longer ... moreThat's just business.
You could keep the device as long as it works minus all the security updates or patches.
I have been keeping Redmi 7A and Mi 9 SE to this day except I am not using them for banking etc. All works still.

Alex 94, 10 Apr 2023Software doesn't matter? U men are on the wrong page.Ignore that person, you'll fall into a hole full of arguments how Samsung s*cks and doesn't provide charger and a case in the box and all Chinese phones are the best. 🙄

Alex 94, 11 Apr 2023Okey, that's why flagships have 4-5 years of updates, ... moreMan just for example. Iphone 8 still receives updates. More than a half of existing apps does not works because of laughable 2GB ram from which half goes to crappy buggy IOS.
And phone with a 1GB ram cant run litterary anything even most basic tasks like brownser, facebook etc. makes CPU and GPU very hot.

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2023Another excuse to justify why xiaomi sells for 900 dollars ... moreMan funny what you said but is not a true.
One phone bad does not means all phones bad.
Still xiaomi with all phones gives charger and case and lot more specs for same money than Samsung.

kevvv, 10 Apr 2023Just because their experience on MIUI is smooth and stable ... moreYeah that was my mistake and i apologize for that. MIUI is mostly known for buggy experience, unfortunately every Xiaomi i owned had bugs and glitches.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2023I love how some here demand 5 new versions of android, but ... moreActually, you are right. Most people never keep the same phone more than 2 years and I am one of them. I bought the Samsung A52 right after it launched, being attracted to its improved features over the A51 and the long 4 years software support. I thought i would keep it for at least 3 years, but sold it after 1.5 years of use because I want to try newer phones.

blue, 10 Apr 2023And except few discussion children nobody cared. And people... more13T pro vs S23?
Totally different market
S23 for someone want small size, optical telephoto and flagships cpu.
13T pro should be cheaper with larger display, good main camera only and 2nd cpu in android.
