02 Sep, 2008
The highly anticipated Nokia N96 was announced back in February 2008 when it looked all shiny and high tech. However, now seven months later it finally starts...

Dani , 03 Sep 2008Can you give me the Link Please.. im a SE Fan..and want ... moreDani fanboy if u r a sony fan then u should know that sony and Ericsson will be splitting in some time from now.Sony is planning to enter mobile market on its own. So the future of Xperia is not in good hands. Forget about xperia, i don't think there is anything special in xperia. HTC has already launched couple of phones better than xperia.

But u r a sony err naughty kid so how can u dislike xperia.

1st, not crazy about the N81 keypad (looks terribly cheap),
2nd, Nokia is still packing those cheap earphones,
3rd, if 16gb memory is twice the slowness as my N95 8GB, it is pointless...
I'm hanging with my N95 8GB until W902 or Xperia comes out...

JahCre, 03 Sep 2008Finally da long awaited hi tech n96 iz here!Hi tech...Well ... morenope. this is not the right time for 8mp phones. its too soon. according to experts and analysts, the whole year of 2008 will be dominated by 5mp cameraphones. and this will go on until first quarter of 2009. nokia is expanding its portfolio by releasing a lot of 5mp phones which is the right thing. in this way, consumers will have a lot of options to choose from. nokia is now focused on enhancing the multimedia capabilities of their high end phones by throwing in dedicated dsp chips for a much improved sound and video quality, incorporating innovative stuff like oled displays for better screen clarity and sharpness, improving their software for better overall performance. they dont go with the trend of putting more and more megapixels in camera like other manufacturers are doing. they dont rush everything. theyre taking it one step at a time.

for those people who want to buy n96 but are thinking twice that its battery will not be enough to sustain its multimedia features, well, you dont need to worry anymore. n96's battery life is expected to be longer than those of n95 and n82. the processor used in n96 is very efficient in power management. its advantage is its lower power consumption enough to run n96 for longer time..

Hey however its priced quite on the upper side, but I think its gonna sell in here back in India in competition to newly launched iPhone in India. Mainly cuz they are almost priced same. it'll roughly cost around Rs.36,000 which is xactly how apple sell there 16 gb phone.
I say, thats smart on nokia's part. spoil d APPLE's party

the reasons why you should choose n96 over n85 are:
                            -comes with 16gb internal memory
-dual cpu (n85 is single cpu only)
-dvb-h live tv broadcast (in the philippines, it's free in smart network)
-larger 2.8" screen with kickstand for better video viewing experience
-tv out beams vga resolution on tv (n85 only beams qvga resolution via tv out)
if those things are important to you, go get the n96

So the phone is available now?
I can buy it from the mobile phone stores?
Or it is going to arrive at the end of September/beginning of October?
                              Tell me please!

This is clearly a technological powerhouse. However, this device faces the prospect of being in the company of the Nokia N85, whose slightly lesser price may attract buyers. Nokia's other offerings in the E Series and N Series offer attractive alternatives. And in fact the 6220 Classic and the 6210 Classic demonstrate that Nokia is incorporating very advanced technology right across its range. As a result one would expect the price of the N96 to alter by Q2 2009.

I think his performance not too far from N95 and N82. Now i ask to nokia corporation, why with n96headset why does't like walkman phone (with earplug)?

N95 8gig is nicer (and better looking) in my view. the DBV-H thing isn't availible here so I'm not interested in that.

This n96 is gr8 but still overprice when we see its facility, n82 is more reasonable if we just need wifi en 5mpix for fun, if we wants some spectacular product, pls wait for soneric c905, w902 und samsung innov8.
