They have a new font, the camera app looks updated. I'm really not sure what else Android 13 is supposed to give me that I'd notice!

I have received it in Romania, however, idk if I should keep it or stay with the S23 Ultra..
t has a few minuses compared to S23 Ultra:
1) Slow and rare updates;
2) Low resale value, nobody wants to buy it from you
3) Camera capabilities after 10x are really bad.
Other than this, it's a beast phone compared to S23 Ultra.
With S23 Ultra I don't like low SOT, bad photo capabilities, the thinking ,,we promise a lot, we do less"

Samsung builts great phones, even as a Samsung hater I had to admit the S23 Ultra is great, hence why I got it. This phone here may have little advantages, but as a whole package, you just get more with the S23 Ultra.

How do so many think this is on par with the S23 Ultra? It's not! The Ultra has a bunch of things that make it unique. Most importantly while the S23U does throttle a bit it's MUCH more consistent than this phone, which is just offensively bad in that regard.

[deleted post]I wouldn't call it "better" when the Magic5 Pro is by far the worst performer with this chip. The throttling is just embarassingly bad.

This phone is on par with the S23 Ultra and other flagships, so what kind of price do some of you expect? Sure, for this price Honor should provide more updates, but other than that it excels at everything else

Oki, 11 Apr 2023Better optimization, software support, camera AI and image ... moreWouldn't say software optimisation is better samsung just get an extra year of updates (atm) and possibly quicker updates.
Samsung doesnt have true facial unlock like honor, slower battery charging, cameras are better than what samsung is offering except maybe the selfie. Samsung has a worse screen in the s23u vs honor magic pro, s23 series have worse design (my opinion), pretty sure the honor magic has more premium build too, for under £1000 (so same price as the base s23 which doesnt even come close to this phone).
Samsung does well because Samsung over markets and advertise heir device and most people buy based off that alone (a lot of people only know of samsung, apple and pixels if they use youtube a lot with ads).

Intelligence Agencies can hack you whenever they want.

You can have the patch April 11, still vulnerable to all this.

This is at least £250 cheaper than an S23 ultra which is the only thing Samsung have that is comparable). I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a Samsung or Apple if that's what you like. You pay the premium for it if you wish. But I've loved the Magic 4 Pro and this seems the best next phone for me.
