I really hope it mainstain its small form factor and retain its headphone jack, zenfone 8 and 9 i believe have positioned itself in a special position and i believe this receipe is unique. just make it available in more region, give the zenfone more exposure. otherwise thumbsup to ASUS so far.

              No they didn't. Width is the key. Have Asus gone beyond 69mm width. Was hoping to see a 5.3" this time, not a 6.3". Dear Asus, Make a lite version with same specs, features with a 5.3" now.

                200 mpix 16GB ram latest CPU and GPU but garbage IPXX resistance proven being useless since no company is willing to give water damage warranty included in normla warranty.
                Once your device gets water damaged you have to pay expensive repair.
                There is no need to add more cost by garbage IPXX resistance if a waterproof cover from alliexpress for 2 bucks does much better job.

                  As a Zenfone 9 user, if the phone size got bigger then it would be really sad.

                          After reading the zenfone 9 long term review, here's my wishlist -

                          I hope the next zenfone will have solid software. That is :

                          - no bugs
                          - polished UI through and through
                          - Quick toggles like OneUI and older stock Android
                          - long-term support (3 Andriod updates and 5 years of Security updates)

                          also on the hardware side, I hope it'll have :

                          - solid vibration motor (like sony Xperia-s)
                          - solid battery backup (not that zenfone 9 has bad battery backup)
                          - brighter screen (pwm DC dimming, if possible)
                          - front camera on the top-middle of the screen rather than on the top-left
                          - lightweight body with narrow aspect ratio
                          - reliable camera with fast shutter speed and good night-time photo and video and decent audio quality
                          - reliable screen auto-brightness
                          - reliable call quality, network reception, proximity sensor...
                          - reliable and fast underdisplay fingerprint sensor (optional)

                          Personally I don't care about wireless charging and fast charging.
                          And please no curved screen.

                            The rumours say it will be 6.3" display, but no one considered that there might be more than one variant along with compact phone. We only know it's a 6.3" display; it might as well be the flip variant, or a slightly taller phone with reduced bezels. It will not be wise to discontinue the conpact variant, but it could make sense since Pixel 8 is supposed to sport a 6.1" display, which will surely put a compact Zenfone out of commission. 2 cameras will be sufficient if it uses LG's Optical Zoom Camera Module. But if it's only single variant, Pixel 8 seems like a better option with better cameras and software support.

                              1)Wireless charging
                              2)Telephoto
                              3)AT LEAST 3 years of OS updates

                              6.3 ain't that big. I think it's the sweet spot between compact and bigger phones. Retain the flat edges and minimal bezels; it can still be a one-hand-friendly device. Please, don't sacrifice the battery too for the sake of being thin. being a bit chunky is ok if the battery life will be exceptional.

                                        I hope its bigger size means they took back the flip camera and the wireless charging.
