It's better to support new driver and hardware features in the lts version of Android 14. People wants the latest and the greatest like Arch with monthly security patches.

Android new updates will always be useless if no root features are implemented.

Previously, the apps could be installed on the microSD, now it's gone, only one example of a very useful feature has been removed. This feature is very useful for phones with storage below 64GB.

everyone cries with short software support, google only updates new animated/theme.

It seems this is another useless android update.

Nothing new has arrived since 11, which did a little bit of cleanup in the system.

Anyone loaded it on their S23 Ultra?

Ra-Iri, 13 Apr 2023Funny thing is Google pumps the newer Android versions but ... moreBecause no major changes..if possible i rather stay android gingerbread for better battery life xD

Ra-Iri, 13 Apr 2023Funny thing is Google pumps the newer Android versions but ... moreNot a downside considering the newer versions make the user experience worse (Android 13 restricting Data/Obb folder access and now Android 14 making sideloading apps harder)

                  What new restrictions now?

Even IOS 17's update sounds more appealing than this...

Funny thing is Google pumps the newer Android versions but most phone manufacturers are still stuck with 11 or 12.
