I have the Pad 5 and is a great tab , but each new software update Xiaomi cut some specs, like the pc mode . Xiaomi products include good hardware but a mediocre software.

I've had Poco ... moreDon't know about him but I have the Xiaomi Pad 5 and I can't bare MIUI at all... sometimes I just want to smack it down the floor as I get nervous because of the software. But since I got this amazing hardware for 250€ brand new, I remember that and I forgive all the sins MIUI has hahaha. Yes it gets good SoT time and I have hidden all the internal MIUI ads by using AdGuard DNS to block adware. So not bad at all.

Xiaomi's tablets were a no-go for me no matter what SoC they put in them. Lenovo is still a better brand since their tablets have better type-c feature support with USB 3 speeds and video-out.

If there is anyone who is using current mi pad 5 pro, can u comment about its battery life? Samsung Tab S8+ comes with 10090mAh battery while the difference is Sam use AMOLED and Mi does IPS LCD on mi pad 5 pro.

I've had Poco f1 now upgraded to f3, pad 5, and I didn't have any problems with bloatwares and ads. Bugs? The only thing I can think of is the PC mode implementation of the pad 5, the android/MIUI experience has been excellent so far.
Battery: 6hrs sot on f3, 10hrs on pad5

I hope the pro model won't be amoled. As an artist who draws for long periods of time on 100% brightness, the last thing I want is the UI of clip studio burning in on the screen.
Things I'm hoping for are more RAM and better ram management of MIUI. The Pad 5 freakin closes my clip studio the moment I do something on the other app while on split screen.
I thought of upgrading to M1 Ipad but realized there's no hover function, the most basic feature. M2 is still priced way too high for me to afford plus Apple products' prices are marked up so bad in my country.

Also the worst in bugs, bloatware and adware. It even comes filled with ads. Go on and use common sense.

Okay so Xiaomi's current tablet offerings are a huge step up compared to the previous awful Mi Pad 4, at least that's great. However most Chinese tablets now are equally as good too (e.g. Oppo Pad 2, Vivo Pad 2, etc). So there isn't anything special that makes Xiaomi's tablets stand out from other Chinese tablets, in fact they all look and feel identical with the same display sizes.
My suggestion is for Xiaomi to make a compact/mini tablet, just like Lenovo did with the Legion Y700. It would certainly peak more of people's interests if they did.
