There are no smartphones with a TN display, there might have been in the distant past, but not anymore.

    TN has bad viewing angles yes, so does TFT.

    TFT is great for monitors, not for smartphones.

            Huawei is actively going backwards with their design. Ugly notch with no real face recognition technology, it's just a lazy cosmetic. Also using SD680 instead of 685. The only good thing about this phone is battery.

            I can't wait for fanboys to do mental gymnastics how this notch isn't a big deal but A34's u notch is unforgivable 😂🤣

If you had ever seen a TFT display, you'd know that it's significantly worse than IPS. Samsung's PLS is a completely different story as that is basically just IPS with Samsung's naming.

                TFT displays have close to zero viewing angles, very low brightness and horrendous colors.

                IPS displays are: in-plane switching panels

                TFT displays ars: thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal

                OLED displays are: organic light-emitting diode

                These are all quite clearly different technologies, each better than the other. OLED being technologically better than IPS, but some prefer IPS which is also understandable, to avoid burn-in and such. TFT has nothing to it, horrible outdated tech.

                    Also, overpowered SoC that creates too much heat and they use copper, graphite or chamber to counter.
