I had to think for a month before upgrading my phone and I only bought iPhone 14 pro max because you can't easily buy Android flagships in the West without importing them from China. Otherwise, I wouldn't spend 1200 on a phone that doesn't even have any thermal management that even my old $300 phone has 5 years ago. Iphone is just old things packed in a new cover. outdated software, outdated hardware. Apple doesn't care because they know how stupid their consumers are who think buying an iPhone is a status thing

Doesn't matter how fast these new iPhones are, As long as they lack any kinda thermal management, they will never be superior to Android phones. They'll throttle within 20 mins. The only advantage Apple has is the IOS and even that is less user-friendly than Android.

Apple's "It Just Works" is straight up dead with the big issues both MacOS and iOS major updates have, nor do they implement features "the best" anymore. Stage Manager was a massive failure, the new AOD was not very well liked, multitasking is still missing and the iPhones gesture controls are embarassingly bad aswell. On top of that, base iPhones are just badly specced. It's just sold to say they have a budget model, for the people that literally don't have a clue about what they are getting. None of the "broke haters" criticizes the Pro models, those are mostly good. Apple should step up their game, with how poorly they operate at the moment it's pretty easy to criticize them.

They should just have 'pro' stamped on the back of the more expensive models and 'newb' on the less expensive ones. But in all seriousness I'm waiting for the eventual SE (noob) . No SE, I'll switch to Samsung A5 series. Or some phone in the 400$ range.

So now you can get your overpriced base-iPhone frosted. Innovation everyone! Maybe one day they make iOS actually good again and bring in features Android had for several years like actual multitasking or, even crazier, good gesture controls. Or maybe they sell decent base models thst aren't a complete ripoff. Nah, that would be too good for their customers that don't pay top dollar, that isn't okay :)

They would do better if they add charger and earphones into the box and support for a 300W charging otherise its DOA .

I have always disliked frosted backs because it looks and feels like plastic. Gloss is more premium but actually I prefer metal and it helps with heat.
