And I do take pictures of the moon quite often, I find that samsung's AI processing has become better over time. I also owned the S20U and Note 20U for short periods of time. In comparison, they have become better in every aspect when it comes to moon shots. From my experience, the zoom mode performance in low-light situations in general is bad.

But also my S8 lasted about a year with normal usage, after that it became really slow and had very bad battery life. It was a brand new phone at the time.
One my friends has an A52, while the other has an A52s and both of those are already slowing down as well, even though they aren't underpowered, A52s especially not.
Not to mention foldables and Samsung's absolutely non-existant warranty service for them. Facebook groups specifically for these foldables aren't exactly happy.

BBK and more exact Realme has been working on the digital zoom.
I tried the x20 of the GT Neo and it takes very good advantage of the 64mpx imx 682.
With the Realme 10Pro + and its 108mpx sensor it does quite well, very polished, better than a tele x2.
Now with this 200mpx sensor they should be testing the x30, supported by the AI to improve the photos of the moon.

They do have a lot of nerve to advertise how well their phone can "capture" the moon after Samsung got criticised for the said mode.. quite disappointed by Realme.
IMO this whole "moon mode" - using an ML algorithm specifically trained using other moon photos to turn a round grey blob into a detailed image of the moon - is, simply put, extremely pointless.

Realme is just meat riding. Copied Apple with Dynamic Island (Ik Xiaomi copied but it was different though.) And now joining the Moon shot marketing scheme. Why not make the 11 series better in display than camera?

Realme hitting it out of the park with the new innovative features like Apple "inspired" dynamic island and now a moon shot which basically just plops a pre-made moon face on a blurry white ball. Wondering what they will introduce next, two depth sensors perhaps, or even three.

People absolutely do not always buy the best phone available. This is an ideal, but far from reality. So many things are in the way of this, including price, availability and compatibility. It's silly to think otherwise.
