Why do they have batteries in them? why not go without a battery? these batteries for each is going to last 30 minutes!!!!!
The original Note 5.3" with 2500 mAh battery lasts 10 hours of below average usage with 1 hr and 30 min screen on time
how are these two Mega phones are going to last half a day?? I know... keep them off and never use them!

It's about finding the compromise.
Sure 6.3 inch is to large to really be used as a handset. But it works perfectly with hands-free.
Are all you guys from the states?
Cause I've heard phones there selldom come with hands-free in the boxing, so none of you even think of using hands-free with you phones.
Let's face it, even the iPhone, that is a small phone, has lousy ergonomics.
Modern phones are not really meant to be held up to your ears, at least not ergonomicaly.
With these large phones, Samsung is trying to find the Sweetspot, where the tablet meets the phone, so you wont need both.
Remember, you guys are on a tech-site, so most people here are in to tech, and willing to get two devices (a good phone + a good tablet), not everyone has the same mindset.
Some people are looking for that one device, that will as many products as possible, in one single unit.
And others, have a budget to think of.
6.3" devices are not made to be single hand devices.
It's a small tablet, that can make calls, and has the ability to replace both a tablet, since it has a pretty big screen. And replace replace a phone, as it's small enough, to get in to some coat pockets, some purses, most handbags, and are easily stuffed away in a shoulderbag or back-pack (even at 7", the tablet uses a lot of space, when cramped in to a bag).

AnonD-90736, 09 Apr 2013Let me remind you all, smartphones are not phones there is ... moreHmm... then why not get yourself a 17 inch laptop with 3g modem for gsm voice call?
Best of all worlds and true full multitask OS .. so much better then just multi-view?

Let me remind you all, smartphones are not phones there is a very big difference between them. I use a smartphone not just to phone but also to message, do my work with, watch films and video clips, browse the web and play games, for which you need a big screen. A smartphone should be able to do everything so why does everyone say there too big, if you are only phoning then get a phone like the nokia 100 but if you want to multitask then get a big large smartphone, very simple indeed, and remember you can always use a stereo headset for when you want to use it as a phone.

I dont understand the logic behind increasing the screen...so wats the next generation of cell phones? bigger screen or wat? for that already we have so- called tablets but in my opinion a cell phone should be of perfect size.one can carry easily without any problems...dont know wer it is going and sammy i guess it should be lil bit innovative now.. nothin special same boring specs in galaxy mega...just focusing on processors and screen..still build quality is so poor..

Does Samsung even have a design department anymore? Or did they spend all their money on the marketing department.

As crazy as this may sound, I never liked apple because there crazy prices at the time they had no competition. Now Samsung are doing the same, £600 for s4. Are you having a laugh? I will be keeping my note 2 then moving from Samsung as they are getting too big for there boots and the launch was a prime example of the s4, Samsung whole team must have held there head in shame watching the launch of the s4 back the most cheese launch on this planet. A company now that think they rule the world but don't think they need to make any changes. S3 same as s4 design plastic is still plastic
