Dante, 29 Apr 2023I understand the frustration but we waited long enough for ... moreThe difference is RDR on ps3 was released in 2010 and the sequel followed that up in 2018. So 8 long years we had to wait for that, which was bad as it as the game is nowhere near the size of GTA. GTA on the other hand was released in 2013 which was already delayed by 2 years, and they knew PS4 was around the corner at the time hence starting on the development of GTA 6 early. It's not about being patient, most people will definitely wait 5-6 years anyway. But 10 years, people will be moving on in life in that time, hell even make their own families. No one has time to wait for a decade. So if they don't announce it by next month, and it's not released by this year, people should give a middle finger to R*.

Nah, PlayStation are used to be have 6-8 year delay, like maybe ps6 will be released in 2026. But at least, gta vi will be available for better price at the time.

I think the title is purposely misleading. I think R* will announce on May 17 when GTA 6 will possibly come out later. Not it'll be out on May 17. Unless R* will do it just as Sony release a new ps6

ViVo, 28 Apr 2023If they don't announce it by next month, people should... moreI understand the frustration but we waited long enough for RDR2 and that game and the graphics, story were amazing. Having the patience to wait, knowing that the game will be awesome will be worth it in the end.
Its better than them just releasing another game with the same graphics as gta v and game mechanics.
Updating there game engine and polishing it to be the best version it can be is definitely worth the wait

If they don't announce it by next month, people should just move on and let Rockstar destroy themselves. Money has consumed them completely and they dont give a toss about their customers anymore, so why should we? Even an announcement isn't enough, only a trailer with a release date of this year will be enticing to buy a PS5. 10 years from the previous entry is just taking the absolute p1ss.

This isn’t news. Every time there’s an earnings call, people just assume it will be announced and it never is. Regardless, that wouldn’t even be an official announcement so it’s meaningless anyway. We already know its being worked on. So mentioning it in this call tells us nothing. But I still don’t believe it will be. For the last 2 years anytime they do this call people say it will be announced and it literally never is. Once its not announced in May, they’ll just choose the next earnings call to say thats when it will be announced.

Along with the first trailers, it'll will also be the most watched video game trailers in history too.
